Voltage and Current Excitation for Time-Harmonic Eddy-Current Problems
We want to give a systematic presentation of voltage or current intensity excitation for time-harmonic eddy-current problems. The key point of our approach resides in a suitable power law, that permits to understand the role of voltage excitation. We also enlighten the influence of the boundary conditions on the proposed formulations.
متن کاملSolving Time-Dependent Planning Problems
A planning problem is time-dependent, if the time spent planning affects the uti l i ty of the system's performance. In [Dean and Boddy, 1988], we define a framework for constructing solutions to time-dependent planning problems, called expectation-driven iterative refinement. In this paper, we analyze and solve a moderately complex time-dependent planning problem involving path planning for a ...
متن کاملSingularities of eddy current problems
We consider the time-harmonic eddy current problem in its electric formulation where the conductor is a polyhedral domain. By proving the convergence in energy, we justify in what sense this problem is the limit of a family of Maxwell transmission problems: Rather than a low frequency limit, this limit has to be understood in the sense of BOSSAVIT [11]. We describe the singularities of the solu...
متن کاملA two-dimensional eddy current model using thin inductors
We derive a mathematical model for eddy currents in two dimensional geometries where the conductors are thin domains. We assume that the current flows in the x3direction and the inductors are domains with small diameters of order O(ǫ). The model is derived by taking the limit ǫ → 0. A convergence rate of O(ǫα) with 0 < α < 1/2 in the L–norm is shown as well as weak convergence in the W 1,p spac...
متن کاملSurvey on Semi-Explicit Time Integration of Eddy Current Problems
The spatial discretization of the magnetic vector potential formulation of magnetoquasistatic field problems results in an infinitely stiff differential-algebraic equation system. It is transformed into a finitely stiff ordinary differential equation system by applying a generalized Schur complement. Applying the explicit Euler time integration scheme to this system results in a small maximum s...
